Vancouver / Three workshop days

Small groups.
Supervised learning.

Three planned Saturday workshop days, one per level, each for 12 physicians already licensed in British Columbia. Each day combines simulation and case work with a separate patient-care workflow.

Patient safety is central to every session: careful patient selection, informed consent, anatomical danger areas and supervised practice.

The workshop format

01

Clinical care

Observation or participation with continuous supervision by Dr. J. Chhina. Patients follow the host clinic's assessment and consent pathway. The responsible physician decides what care is appropriate.

02

Simulation

A second experienced physician leads simulation and readiness assessment. Every learner receives simulation practice before any consideration of live participation.

03

Cases and records

Work through patient selection, evidence, escalation and documentation. Use fictional cases and blank teaching records.

Patient care determines
the clinical activity.

Live procedures depend on patient need, informed consent and individual readiness. A patient may decline learner involvement. The workshop does not promise a procedure count or a live injection for every learner.

Before attending

  • Current BC physician registration and relevant professional protection
  • The level coursebook, emailed before the day, with knowledge assessment
  • Faculty review of experience and planned participation
  • Agreement to privacy, conduct and supervision requirements

Planned timing

Workshop dates have not yet been confirmed. Each level will run on a separate Saturday. Confirmed dates, venue, start and finish times, preparation requirements and final booking terms will be published before registration opens.

The pilot is unaccredited. Attendance documentation does not confer clinical privileges or certify independent competence.
